
Samuel Shaw (December 1768-23 October 1827) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-VT 1) from 6 September 1808 to 3 March 1813 (succeeding James Witherell and preceding William Czar Bradley).
Biography[]
Samuel Shaw was born in Dighton, Massachusetts in 1768, and he moved to Putney, Vermont at the age of ten and became a medical practicioner in Castleton. He served in the State House from 1800 to 1807 and in the US House of Representatives from 1808 to 1813. He later served as a US Army surgeon during and after the War of 1812, and he died in 1827.
