
Samuel Lawrence (23 May 1773-20 October 1857) was a member of the US House of Representatives (NR-NY 25) from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1825, preceding Charles Humphrey. Born in Newtown, New York, the son of Jonathan Lawrence, he served in the State Assembly in 1811, as a Democratic-Republican presidential elector in 1816, in the State Assembly from 1820 to 1821, and in Congress from 1823 to 1825.
