Samuel Lewis Casey (12 February 1821-25 August 1902) was Treasurer of the United States from 4 April 1853 to 22 December 1859 (succeeding John Sloane and preceding William C. Price) and a member of the US House of Representatives (U-KY 1) from 10 March 1862 to 4 March 1863 (succeeding Henry Cornelius Burnett and preceding Lucien Anderson).

Biography[]

Samuel Lewis Casey was born in Caseyville, Kentucky in 1821, and he engaged in mercantile pursuits before serving as Treasurer of the United States from 1853 to 1859 and in the US House of Representatives from 1862 to 1863. He died in Saint Joseph, Missouri in 1902.
