
Samuel Fowler (30 October 1779 – 20 February 1844) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NJ) from 1833 to 1837, succeeding Richard M. Cooper and preceding William Halstead.
Biography[]
Samuel Fowler was born in Newburgh, Orange County, New York in 1779, and he began practicing medicine in Hamburg, New Jersey in 1800 before coming to own zinc and iron mines and iron works in Franklin, Sussex County. He served on the Legislative Council before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1833 to 1837, and he died in 1844.
