
Samuel Dinsmoor Jr. (8 May 1799-24 February 1869) was the Democratic Governor of New Hampshire from 7 June 1849 to 3 June 1852, succeeding Jared W. Williams and preceding Noah Martin.
Biography[]
Samuel Dinsmoor Jr. was born in Keene, New Hampshire in 1799, and he served as a commissioner in preparation for the Marquis de Lafayette's visit in 1825 before serving in the State Senate from 1826 to 1830, as Governor from 1849 to 1852, and as a bank president. He died in 1869.
