Sam B. Strother (16 June 1871-19 January 1929) was the Democratic Mayor of Kansas City from January to May 1922, succeeding James Cowgill and preceding Frank H. Cromwell.

Sam B. Strother was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1871, and he was raised in Lee's Summit, Missouri and became the private secretary of Mayor William S. Cowherd in Kansas City. He served as acting Mayor in 1922, and he died in 1929.
