
Salvino Alire Cruz (12 June 1904-10 September 1940) was a CNT party member from Spain.
Biography[]
Salvino Alire Cruz was born on 12 June 1904 in Alcala de Henares, Spain. He was a laborer who worked in the automobile industry in Madrid, and he joined the CNT anarchist party to fight for workers' rights. In April 1936, Alire took part in the workers' strike against the government of Republican Spain, but the strike was put down. During the Spanish Civil War, he volunteered to fight for the Republicans, and he was executed in 1940 by Francisco Franco's new government rather than be allowed to spread anarchist ideas.
