Salvatore Talarico (born 1892) is a Neapolitan safecracker and thief, working for the Camorra, the Sicilian Mafia and even abroad for various families of the American Mafia. In 1933, Talarico was flown in to Chicago, Illinois by Don Ennio Salieri to crack the safe of Henry Watkins, the district attorney of Chicago paid off by Don Marcu Morello.
Salieri crime family soldato Tommy Angelo drove Talarico to Watkins' mansion in Glencoe, though the language barrier between Angelo and Talarico made things difficult; Talarico only spoke Italian and knew very little English, while Angelo had the opposite issue. Despite this, Angelo and Talarico managed to get into the mansion and open the safe. However, Angelo accidentally set off the safe alarm and angered Talarico, who admonished him after the two fought through Watkins' guards. Despite this setback, the two were able to deliver the contents of the safe to Salieri, giving him leverage over Watkins.
