Biography[]

Salome was the daughter of Herod II and Herodias, and, in 29 AD, her mother used her to convince her new husband Herod Antipas (Herod II's brother) to execute John the Baptist. Herodias had Salome dance for Antipas and demand John's execution as a reward, and Salome delivered John's head to Antipas.
