Salmalin Babu (11 October 1902-9 June 1980) was Chairman of Inatoco from 1949 to 1980.
Biography[]
Salmalin Babu was born on 11 October 1902 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India to a Hindu family. Babu was educated in London, England in business and he became the Chairman of Inatoco in 1949 upon its foundation. The company was state-owned, and Babu was entrusted with ensuring that the company would make lots of money for the country. He expanded its operations across India's oil-rich regions, primarily in the north, and he was the chairman for thirty-one years, making lucrative deals and expanding the company. He died in 1980 of natural causes in his sleep.
