Saladin of Al Minya (born 1092) was an Egyptian general who became a Brigand later in life, as he was a member of the Knights Templar.
Biography[]
Saladin was a member of the Egyptian royal family, and was a member of the Knights Templar, and was an ally of Ayyubid of Damietta. Ayyubid and Saladin were in on each other's plots, and Ayyubid died when Saladin was 18, after only two years of working together. The death of Ayyubid made Saladin the new Grand Master of the Templar Order, and he became a brigand in the Arabian Desert.
Jacobo de Martino, a member of the Assassins, tried to kill him in 1126, but a guard noticed Martino and stabbed him in the chest. He continued to reign terror until 1140, when he was bribed out of his crimes by a Venetian diplomat, and he was made a general of Venice. He was posted as Governor of Damascus, introducing a Templar chapter that reigned for hundreds of years.
