Saint-Lambert

Saint-Lambert is a district in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, France. Named for the 7th-century Bishop Lambert of Maastricht, Saint-Lambert was first settled as the village of Vaugirard, whose road dated back to the Roman era. Its hills were once exploited by vineyards and quarries, the latter of which supplied the stone used to build Parisian monuments such as the École militaire. As Paris grew, Saint-Lambert came to be considered a suburb ideal for country walks, and, in 1860, it was annexed into Paris. In 2016, Saint-Lambert had a population of 86,656 people.
