Sadayoshi Mitsue (1952-2 September 2019) was a Democratic Party for the People member of the Japanese House of Representatives from 19 March 2018 until his death on 2 September 2019. Born in Obihiro, Hokkaido, Mitsue worked as a technology industry executive before becoming a liberal-conservative politician and the leader of the DPFP in 2018. He led the party to win 9.45% of the vote and 4/40 National Diet seats in that year's election, and he supported Liberal Democratic Party leader Unkei Katsuragi's formation of a government due to disagreements with the more liberal Constitutional Democratic Party. Mitsue became a reliable ally of the LDP government due to their parties' shared conservative views, but he died of a heart attack on 2 September 2019 at the age of 67. Miiko Tanimoto succeeded him as party leader, while Atsuko Ishiwari filled his vacant seat.
