Biography[]
Sadahige Ebara was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1954, and he joined the Tojo-kai yakuza clan at a young age. He came to work for Hiroki Awano's Taihei Association, specializing in extorting property owners through the use of squatters. On 14 December 1988, he attempted to shake down real estate agent Sojuro Yamanoi for ¥7 million by supporting the squatter Yasuhide Tsuji in taking over Yamanoi's old office, and, when he came to the apartment to negotiate with Yamanoi's associates Jun Oda and Kazuma Kiryu, he demanded ¥10 million from them because of their refusal to go along with the original deal. The showdown soon degenerated into a street brawl, with the yakuza being beaten down and Tsuji being intimidated into moving out without payment. However, Ebara warned the two Tachibana Real Estate henchmen that he came from the Taihei Association, and that he would remember their faces. That same night, Ebara and his men savagely beat Oda and followed him to the Serena Executive Lounge, where he was planning to meet Kiryu for drinks, and Ebara was accompanied by Awano himself and a handful of other men. Awano gave Ebara and the others a chance to take their vengeance on Kiryu in the alleyway, but Kiryu again beat down all of the yakuza, and then rejected Awano's offer to make up for the squatter business by betraying Tetsu Tachibana.
