Saadet I Giray (1492-1538) was Khan of Crimea from 1524 to 1532, succeeding Gazi I Giray and preceding Islam I Giray. A son of Menli I Giray, he led troops to support the Ottoman sultan Bayezid II against his rebellious sons Shehzade Ahmet and Shehzade Selim in 1511. On his brother Mehmed I Giray's death, he killed his nephew Gazi I Giray and usurped the throne with the help of Turkish soldiers. He restored order in the wake of Nogai invasions and battled his nephew Islam I Giray, who constantly tried to retake the throne. In 1526, he led 30,000 men against Lithuania and took many captives before being defeated on the Olshanitsa River on 27 January 1526. He voluntarily renounced the throne in 1532 and went to Istanbul, where he received a large pension. He accompanied Suleiman the Magnificent on a campaign against Safavid Iran, and he died in 1538.
