Rutland is a county in the East Midlands of England, bordering Leicestershire to the north and west, to the northeast by Lincolnshire, and to the southeast by Northamptonshire. The only towns in Rutland are the county town of Oakham and Uppingham, and the county had a population of 38,600 people in 2016.
