The Rusich Group was a Russian neo-Nazi paramilitary unit that was founded by Alexey Milchakov in 2014 as a closed collective of Russian neopagan nationalists receiving military training. Raised from far-right volunteers from Russia and Europe and from radical Rodnover pagans, Rusich's several dozen fighters fought alongside pro-Russian separatists in the Donbas War, carrying out atrocities such as the mutilation and execution of captured Ukrainian soldiers. The Rusich Group's fighters also served in the Syrian Civil War, guarding important oil and gas infrastructure and the city of Palmyra. Rusich also participated in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, during which their fighters were filmed beheading the Ukrainian soldier Serhii Potoki with a knife. In June 2023, Rusich Group supported the rebellious Wagner Group's "March for Justice" insurrection.
