Runa Egilsdottir was a Danish Viking warrior who lived in Kent during the late 9th century AD. In 875 AD, she and her comrades were captured at their camp by West Saxon soldiers sent by Ealdorman Tedmund, but they were rescued by Eivor and Basim ibn Ishaq and recruited into their plan to assault the major city of Rochester. They contributed their fleet to the assault in exchange for large shares of plunder once the victory was achieved.
