
Rui I of Portugal (1140-) was King of Portugal from. He was the first son of Prince Affonso, the son of King Henrique I of Portugal.
Biography[]
Rui I of Portugal was the eldest son of Prince Affonso, the heir apparent to the Kingdom of Portugal and Navarre (and the eldest son of Kng Henrique I of Portugal), and his wife Teresa el Valiente, a Castilian princess. Rui came of age in 1156 and became the governor of Cordoba.
