
Rudolf von Colloredo (2 November 1585-24 February 1657) was an Imperial general who served in the Thirty Years' War.
Biography[]
Rudolf von Colloredo was born in Ceske Budejovice, Bohemia, Holy Roman Empire in 1585. He distinguished himself during the Thirty Years' War, distinguishing himself at the 1632 Battle of Lutzen. He served on Emperor Ferdinand III's Privy Council and became a Field Marshal, and he defended Prague in the last battle of the war. After the war, he built the Schonborn Palace in Prague, and he died in 1657.
