Roy Petty

Roy Petty was an American FBI agent. In 2017, he embarked on an operation to shut down the money launderer Marty Byrde's operations in Missouri, but he was unsuccessful due to his inability to secure a witness or evidence.

Biography[]

Roy Petty was the son of an overbearing, heroin-addicted mother, and he joined the FBI with the objective of fighting against drug trafficking. However, he grew upset with the FBI after the War on Terror resulted in the FBI redirecting its focus to fighting against jihadist terrorism. He struck up a relationship with fellow FBI agent Trevor Evans, and, in 2017, the two of them finally had a chance to make a breakthrough in the War on Drugs after they discovered the murders of money launderer Bruce Liddell and a few of his associates, while Liddell's partner Marty Byrde had gone missing. Petty and Evans separately attempted to investigate Byrde's activities in Missouri, believing that he was involved in the deaths of Liddell and his former associates, and Petty later grew convinced that Byrde was operating a money laundering operation from the Lake of the Ozarks. Petty seduced local criminal Russ Langmore with the objective of having him assist in his investigation of Byrde, and, after discovering the Langmore family's plans to murder Liddell, he blackmailed Langmore into turning states against his niece Ruth Langmore, hoping that Ruth could, in turn, be used to turn states against Byrde. His plan fell apart when Ruth murdered Russ, and his plan to capture the Mexican drug trafficker Camino Del Rio was also foiled after Del Rio was murdered by the Snell family.
