Rostam Ghasemi (5 May 1964-8 December 2022) was an Iranian Quds Force Brigadier-General and conservative politician.
Biography[]
Rostam Ghasemi was born in Sargah, Fars Province, Iran in 1964, the son of the future Governor of Fars (1980-1988). He joined the IRGC in 1979 and served in the Iran-Iraq War, rising in the ranks of the military before retiring in 2011 and being recalled in 2013. He served as Petroleum Minister from 2011 to 2013 and Roads and Urban Development Minister from 2021 until his death in 2022.
