Ron Hogg

Ron Hogg (1 October 1951 – 17 December 2019) was the County Durham Police and Crime Commissioner from 15 November 2012 to 17 December 2019.

Biography[]

Ron Hogg was born in Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire, Scotland on 1 October 1951, and he served for over 30 years as a police officer, fighting English football hooliganism in foreign countries such as Japan and South Korea. In the 2012 police and crime commissioner elections, he was elected Police and Crime Commissioner for Durham Constabulary, one of 13 Labour commissioners elected in the inaugural elections. He died in office in 2019 at the age of 68.
