The Romanos Motorcycle Club is a one-percenter outlaw motorcycle club founded in 2023 by Los Angeles-based criminal Iacopo "Slugs" Piombino.
Piombino, a former associate of the Pavano crime family in New Jersey and New York City, migrated to the West Coast in 2017 at the invitation of The Families gangster Lamar Davis. Over the course of six years, Piombino established himself as a successful gun-for-hire, an adventurous store-robber, and a merciless bounty hunter. In 2023, however, Piombino decided to invest in building a criminal empire for himself, and he started by buying a foreclosed tattoo shop in Venice and transforming it into a base for a new biker gang named after the Roman Empire, celebrating his Italian heritage. With the help of Uptown Riders veteran Malc Jackson, Piombino was able to refurbish his clubhouse and build wealth for his gang through drug trafficking, the crashing of arms deals, the theft of prototype motorcycles, hit jobs, and several other criminal activities. At the same time, he invested his ill-gotten gains in buying a foreclosed warehouse at the Port of Los Angeles and transformed it into the Omega nightclub with the help of nightlife legend Tony Prince. Over the course of this empire-building, Piombino made enemies with The Lost MC, Vagos, Los Angeles Triads, The Professionals, the Ballas, Armenian Power, and the Kkangpae, while donning Angels of Death attire out of reverence for the West Coast's first biker gang.
