Rollin Simmons Woodruff (14 July 1854-30 June 1925) was the Republican Governor of Connecticut from 9 January 1907 to 6 January 1909, succeeding Henry Roberts and preceding George L. Lilley.
Biography[]
Rollin Simmons Woodruff was born in Rochester, New York in 1854, and he was raised in New Haven, Connecticut. He worked as a bank director and manufacturer before serving in the state militia, as a State Senator in 1903, on the New Haven Chamber of Commerce from 1905 to 1907, as Lieutenant Governor from 1905 to 1907, and as Governor from 1907 to 1909. He died in 1925.
