
Roger Ducos (25 July 1747-16 March 1816) was a member of the French Directory from 1795 to 1799 during the French Revolution.
Biography[]
Roger Ducos was born in Montfort-en-Chalosse, Aquitaine, France on 25 July 1747, and he was elected to the National Convention as a representative from the Landes department. Ducos supported Paul Barras, leading to him joining the French Directory. However, he supported Napoleon Bonaparte's Coup of 18 Brumaire in 1799, and Ducos was honored several times under the First French Empire. Ducos voted for Napoleon's deposition in 1814, only to be exiled from France in 1816 for voting for Louis XVI of France's execution in 1793. Ducos died in Ulm, Bavaria from a carriage accident in 1816.
