
Roger Allin (18 December 1848 – 1 January 1936) was the Republican Governor of North Dakota from 10 January 1895 to 6 January 1897, succeeding Eli C.D. Shortridge and preceding Frank A. Briggs.
Biography[]
Roger Allin was born in Bradworthy, Devon, England in 1848, and he was raised in Ontario, Canada before moving to North Dakota. He served in the Dakota Territory's legislature from 1887 to 1889, in the North Dakota Senate from 1889 to 1891, as Lieutenant Governor from 1891 to 1893, and as Governor from 1895 to 1897, and he lost his re-election bid and returned to farming. He died in Park River in 1936.
