Rodrigo de Noronha

Rodrigo de Noronha, 2nd Count of Noronha (1781—1866) was a Portuguese naval officer and nobleman who served as the chief of the Portuguese Royal Navy under Queen Maria II of Portugal in the 19th century. The Count of Noronha was appointed to the position in 1858, having a successful naval career due to his persistent personality and serving as a senior admiral's aide, before being replaced in 1860 by Admiral Vitorino Salazar.

His son Pedro would also become a naval officer and serve as the commander of the Portuguese Navy in the 1870s.
