Rodolfo Morandi (1 January 1903-26 July 1955) was Minister of Industry and Trade of Italy from 14 June 1946 to 1 June 1947, succeeding Giovanni Gronchi and preceding Giuseppe Togni.
Biography[]
Rodolfo Morandi was born in Milan on 1 January 1903, and he became a well-known economist and Italian Socialist Party supporter. In 1937, he was tried and convicted for being involved with the anti-fascist resistance, and he was involved with socialist movements in fascist jails. During World War II, he was an Italian Resistance leader as a National Liberation Committee member, and he served as Secretary of the PSI from 4 December 1945 to 17 April 1946, succeeding Sandro Pertini and preceding Ivan Matteo Lombardo. From 1946 to 1947, he served as Minister of Industry and Trade, and he served as a senator from 1953 until his death in Milan in 1955.
