Rockefeller Plaza is a pedestrian street running through the Rockefeller Center complex in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, New York. It was part of the original plans for the Metropolitan Opera building, and it was named "Rockefeller Plaza" in 1933 and fully opened by 1937. It serves to connect all of the center's separate components.
