Robin Koninsky

Robin Koninsky (1870-) was a Polish-American vaudeville singer who performed at the Theatre Raleur in New Orleans during the 1890s and 1900s.

Biography[]

Robin Koninsky was born in Congress Poland, Russian Empire in 1870, and she was said to have been singing by the roadside, subsisting on coppers tossed at her feet, when the theatre impresario Aldridge T. Abbington discovered her. He brought her back to New Orleans, Louisiana to perform at the Theatre Raleur, and she was adored by the audiences, especially when she sung the vaudeville classic "Hello! Ma Baby".
