Biography[]
Robin Kelly was born in Harlem, New York City, New York in 1956, and she directed a crisis nursery in Peoria, Illinois and became a public servant. In 1998, she became a Commissioner on Human Rights in Cook County, and she served in the State House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007. In 2013, she was elected to the US House of Representatives after Jesse Jackson Jr. retired.
