Robert Reston (died 1586) was an English Jesuit priest and one of the ringleaders of the Babington Plot. Reston encouraged Anthony Babington to initiate an assassination attempt on Queen Elizabeth I of England which would begin the chain of events leading to the Spanish Armada. Reston was captured after Babington failed to shoot Elizabeth, and he was executed by hanging.
