Robert Pittenger

Robert Pittenger (born 15 August 1948) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NC 9) from 3 January 2013 to 3 January 2019, succeeding Sue Myrick and preceding Dan Bishop.

Biography[]

Robert Pittenger was born in Dallas, Texas in 1948, and he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1985, where he worked in real estate. He served in the State Senate from 2003 to 2008, when he lost his bid for the title of Lieutenant Governor. In 2012, he was elected to the US House of Representatives as a Republican Party member, and he held typical conservative views. He lost for renomination in 2018.
