Robert Norwood (1523-) was a Scottish nobleman during the mid-16th century.
Biography[]
Robert Norwood was born in Kinross, Scotland in 1523 to a noble family, and he owned a mining field which, by the 1550s, had dried up, leaving the family in a state of decline. He had five daughters, including Greer Norwood, who went on to marry Lord Aloysius Castleroy. Castleroy was generous to Robert, as he did not demand a dowry, and instead gave Robert enough money to provide the dowries for Robert's four other daughters.
