Robert L. Jenkins Sr. (1860-1975?) was an American police officer from Blackwater, Texas, who was active during the Wild West era.. Jenkins joined the BlackwaterPolice Department in 1875 at the age of 15, mainly doing paperwork before he got his first case in 1877. He is famous for his involvement un the Blackwater massacre, as well as his role in fighting Dutch van der Linde's Native Americans in the 1910s. He also had involvement in the Wapiti War by defending Blackwater, Texas from the Wapiti Native Americans. He is the great=grandfather of Robert L. Jenkins.
