Robert "Bobby" Baccalieri, Sr. (1930 - October 2000) was a soldier in the DiMeo crime family in Junior Soprano's crew and the father of capo Bobby Baccalieri.
Biography[]
Robert Baccalieri, Sr. was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1927, and he was a soldier in Junior Soprano's crew of the DiMeo crime family during his younger days. He owned and worked part-time in a barber shop cutting hair, and the shop served as a front for his illegal businesses. Baccalieri sold his shop after retiring from the family, and he wanted for his son Bobby Baccalieri to stay in the shop and cut hair. In 2000, Baccalieri returned to New Jersey from semi-retirement, and Tony Soprano asked him to whack his godson Salvatore Intile for his unprovoked attack on Bryan Spatafore. Despite his poor health (lung cancer) and shortness of breath on exertion, he killed Intile after a struggle at his apartment, and he also killed Intile's friend Carlos. While leaving the scene of the hit, he lost control of his car and crashed, and he died after choking on his own blood.
