
Robert Allen (19 June 1778-19 August 1844) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-TN 4) from 4 March 1819 to 3 March 1823 (succeeding Samuel E. Hogg and preceding Jacob C. Isacks) and from TN-5 from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1827 (succeeding Newton Cannon and preceding Robert Desha).
Biography[]
Robert Allen was born in Augusta County, Virginia in 1778, and he became a lawyer in Carthage, Tennessee before serving under Andrew Jackson during the War of 1812 and in the US House of Representatives from 1819 to 1827. He died in 1844.
