Thames 2021

The River Thames is a 215-mile river that flows through southern England, most notably through London; it also flows through Oxford, Reading, Henley-on-Thames, and Windsor. The river's name comes from the Briton name Tamesas, meaning "dark". The river is heavily abstracted for drinking water, running through some of the driest parts of England. The Thames contains over 80 islands and has 35 tributaries, and it supports a variety of wildlife.
