Riley Coyne

Riley Coyne (born 1968) was a British intelligence officer and DedSec operative who lived in London during the 2020s.

Biography[]

Ryan Coyne was born in Sligo, County Sligo, Ireland in 1968. He bred falcons as a teen, and he later changed his sex on his birth certificate, joined an anti-vaccination group, dated Darren Basu, and once saw DedSec shut down an Albion checkpoint. By 2020, he had become disillusioned with Albion's police state in London, and he worked for Clan Kelley as a smuggler before backing out before a major arms deal. He met DedSec operative Charlie Robinson along the River Thames at night and asked him to help prevent the arms deal in Southwark. Following a shootout with Clan Kelley, Robinson stole the van and dumped it in the Thames, persuading Coyne to join DedSec. Shortly after, on the River Thames waterfront next to the Tower of London, Coyne recruited Sally Kim to DedSec after beating down Albion contractor Rashid Aljasmi.

Following the shooting death of DedSec operative Vincent MacMillan at Cannon Street Station, Coyne was chosen to take over his investigation of Albion's "Realignment Clinic" at the Walkie Talkie club in City of London. He arrived at the station, where he had a look at MacMillan's killer Hal Lane. After watching the other Albion guard Blake Glover enter the station, Coyne snuck around Lane's Albion vehicle and shot him in the back of the head with a P9 pistol before evading the police, avenging MacMillan's death.

Coyne then infiltrated the Walkie Talkie club amid a party and used a spiderbot to hack into the security system, finding video evidence about the re-education process and downloading the data into Bagley. He then shut down the club by hacking its mainframe, encouraging the people of the City of London to rise up. In gratitude, Tracy Coyne (no relation) decided to join DedSec.
