Biography[]

Early Life and Adulthood[]

Rico Delgado was born in 1979 and grew up with his younger brother Héctor in rural Colombia to "Don" Ricardo Delgado, founder and head of the Delgado Cartel, and his wife Elena Mancha. From a young age, both Delgado brothers became familiar with the volatile cartel business of the 1990's. The old Delgado always intended for Rico to take over the cartel though he had to postpone that plan when the Colombian government cracked down hard on the cartels. Rico had to flee the family estate with his mother and younger brother when the military started bombing the compound and just days later, he would see pictures of his dead father in the newspapers.

From then on, Rico was living with his mother's family in Santiago, Chile, and spending summers with his uncle Fernando, who ran the infamous Delgado Cartel out of his old vineyard in Santa Fortuna, Colombia. He also started to earn money by working as an enforcer for the Moreno Cartel - his family's old rivals - where he often used a baseball bat (which he later framed in a room) to beat up the enemies of the cartel. At some point, Rico decided that he needed to return to Colombia and rebuilt his father's cartel, and decided to use his bat for the last time, by beating his former boss with it do death, and leaving the Morenos. Upon arriving at the Delgado estate, what met him was a ruin, but the people in Santa Fortuna all remembered the good Don Delgado and what he had done for the villagers. The locals helped Rico rebuild parts of the Delgado mansion grounds, and he also discovered that the locals had kept on growing the local coca fields. With things in progress, Rico started on a plan to rebuild the Delgado empire. Determined to bring the Delgado name back to its glory days, Rico saw the rebuilding of his family empire as his primary objective in life. With the occasional assistance of his younger brother Hector, and the full-time support of Andrea as well as Jorge Franco - his uncle's old chemist with whom Rico got in touch with in 2009, Rico Delgado quickly liaised with the Delgado family's connections and old smugglers, rebuilding the network from the ground up. To begin with, the quarted focused on various types of contraband to keep under the radar and to build up a solid logistics network, but he soon got back into drugs as well.

At some point, Rico made contact with Lucas Grey, and allowed his to use his network for transportation under the condition that he helps him find out who killed his uncle and cousin.

Death[]

In July of 2020, Agent 47 was dispatched to Santa Fortuna, Colombia by the International Contract Agency in order to stop the Delgado Cartel in order to prevent the Shadow Client's Milita from using their distribution network to move around the world. Upon arriving in Santa Fortuna, 47 quickly set about to competing this mission, and assassinated Rico Delgado in a way that made it look like an accident.
