
Richard Stanford (2 March 1767 – 9 April 1816) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NC 4) from 1797 to 1803 (succeeding William Francis Strudwick and preceding William Blackledge) and from NC-8 from 1803 to 1816 (succeeding Thomas Wynns and preceding Samuel Dickens).
Biography[]
Richard Stanford was born in Vienna, Maryland in 1767, and he moved to Hawfields, North Carolina in 1793. He served in the US House of Representatives from 1797 until his death in Georgetown in 1816.
