Richard Pratt Marvin (23 December 1803-11 January 1892) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-NY 31) from 4 March 1837 to 3 March 1841, succeeding Abner Hazeltine and preceding Staley N. Clarke.

Biography[]

Richard Pratt Marvin was born in Fairfield, New York in 1803, the brother of William Marvin. He was raised in Dryden and became a lawyer in Jamestown in 1829, and he served in the US House of Representatives from 1837 to 1841, as a justice of the New York Supreme Court from 1847 to 1871, and as a lawyer in Jamestown until his death in 1892.
