Ricardo Lagos Weber (21 February 1962-) was a Chilean Party for Democracy senator.
Biography[]
Ricardo Lagos Weber was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 1962, the son of Chilean professor Ricardo Lagos. He went to eight different schools due to his father's frequent relocation during his exile (caused by the 1973 Chilean coup d'etat), and he was trained in law and economics. He worked as Chile's senior representative to the annual meeting of APEC during his father's presidency, and he oversaw the signing of free trade agreements with the United States and the European Union. From 2006 to 2007, he served as Minister Secretary-General under President Michelle Bachelet, and he also became a Party for Democracy senator.
