Renee Ellmers

Renee Ellmers (9 February 1964-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NC 2) from 3 January 2011 to 3 January 2017, succeeding Bob Etheridge and preceding George Holding.

Biography[]

Renee Ellmers was born in Ironwood, Michigan in 1964, and she was a clinical director in Dunn, North Carolina before entering politics as a Republican. She was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2010, campaigning on an anti-Obamacare platform. She served in the House until 2016, when she lost the primary election to George Holding.
