Reginald Ponsonby-Smythe

Reginald Ponsonby-Smythe (1917-1969) was an M-16 agent of the British Empire, working for the foreign intelligence agency. He was also a secret member of Majestic, the agency responsible for investigating alien life. He was killed in Hyde Park in 1969.

Biography[]

Reginald Ponsonby-Smythe was born to an upper-class British family in London, England, and was drafted into the British Army in 1941 during World War II. He was made a member of the M-16 foreign intelligence agency after the war's end, and he was a key leader of the Majestic alien intelligence agency, communicating with the American Station, Argentine Station, Mongolian Station, and other stations to find out the mystery of alien life on Earth.

In 1969, he encountered Cryptosporidium-138, a clone of a Furon alien who had destroyed the American Station in 1959, after Crypto killed KGB agent Ivan Oranchov in the London tunnels under Hyde Park. Ponsonby asked him to pool his knowledge with him to stop the KGB presence in Britain, and together they stopped the Soviet plans to spread Blisk mutant spores across London.

Ponsonby's death

Ponsonby betrayed Crypto at a meeting in Hyde Park, and had him interrogated after drugging him. Crypto escaped with the help of Natalya Ivanova, a rogue KGB agent, and the two chased Ponsonby to Hyde Park. Crypto used his incinerator ray to kill Reginald. In his dying words, Reginald hinted that other aliens had killed the Mongolians, Argentines, and the other Majestic stations, and ridiculed Crypto's narcissistic belief that he was the only alien on Earth, before dying.
