Reeve McDougle

Reeve McDougle (1919-2003) was a US Navy lieutenant who served in World War II and the Cold War. Born in Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 1919, the son of Jack McDougle, Reeve McDougle joined the Navy at the start of World War II due to his curiosity about the ocean and his desire for vengeance against Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor. McDougle served on a destroyer in the Pacific War and remained in the Naval Reserve after the conflict. McDougle returned to his family farm, which he helped his father to run and took over on his father's death in 1958. McDougle fathered three children, including Ray McDougle, and died in 2003.
