Rebecca Reid in 1869.

Rebecca Reid (1838 - 1924) was an American landowner and farmer in Colby, Texas during the 19th Century.

Biography[]

Rebecca Reid was born in 1838 in Colby, Texas. In 1857 she married Dan Reid. In 1858, his son Danny Reid was born.


Made for finer things yet possessing the grit and independence of any frontiersman, Rebecca was a woman whose spirit was caught between two men, her husband Dan and his more refined younger brother John.

In 1869, her husband was killed by Butch Cavendish, an outlaw who secretly worked for Latham Cole a tycoon and employee of the Pacific Union Railroad. John Who survived Cavendish became the Lone Ranger (a legendary gunslinger). John and Rebecca with the help of Tonto, defeated Cole, Cavendish and corrupt Captain Jay Fuller.

John left Rebecca and Danny, he told her that he was going to the west and offered her to go with him. But Rebecca answered that she stsyed there because It was her home.

Rebecca died in 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
