Raul Labrador

Raul Labrador (8 December 1967-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-ID 1) from 3 January 2011 to 3 January 2019, succeeding Walt Minnick and preceding Russ Fulcher.

Biography[]

Raul Labrador was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico in 1967, and his family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada early in Raul's life. From 1987 to 1989, he served as a Mormon missionary in Chile, and he became a lawyer in his wife's state of Idaho during the 1990s. Labrador served in the State House of Representatives from 2006 to 2010, and he was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2010. In 2018, he decided to run for Governor of Idaho and to retire from the US Congress, but he lost in the gubernatorial primary to Brad Little.
