Rasheen Ray (born 24 April 1971) was an African-American contract killer who was hired by Donnie Paduana to kill Tony Soprano in 1999.
Biography[]
Rasheen Ray and William Johnson Clayborn both worked as contract killers, and, in 1999, they were contacted by Junior Soprano's crew to kill Tony Soprano via intermediary Donnie Paduana. Their first attempt was aborted when Christopher Moltisanti boxed in the Taurus the would-be assassins were using outside a Montclair, New Jersey donut shop. Minutes later, Junior Soprano severed the link between himself and the assassins by having Mikey Palmice murder Paduana. The next day, during a second hit on Tony, Ray accidentally shot and killed his partner William Clayborn, and Soprano dragged Rasheen as he drove away in his car, eventually letting him go. Ray later succeeded in escaping.
